The Rogers Administration will emphasize literacy and mathematics programs in elementary and secondary schools and help to redirect priorities to ensure as educated a populace as possible. Working parents will be embraced and encouraged to play that ever important role in their child’s education.
The City of New York’s greatest source of wealth is its skilled, educated and creative residents. It will be those individuals who pioneer new community, educational and cultural ventures that will continue to help the City of New York thrive. Individual interest groups and communities creatively resolving issues and effectively addressing their own community’s needs will but empower New Yorkers.
The Rogers Administration will enjoin new immigrant populations and encourage them to better assimilate themselves into the multi-cultural City of New York with an emphasis on English language skills, the gateway to a vocation. Teaching the history of the City of New York will be an important factor of education both for the newly arrived as well as for our children.
